Double A and NIA Signs MOU on the Application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for Tracking Trees
Bangkok, Thailand, 7 June 2016 – Mr. Thirawit Leetavorn, Double A Senior Executive Vice President (right) and Dr. Pun-Arj Chairatana (left), Director of Thailand’s National Innovation Agency (NIA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cement the strong cooperation and commitment between the two organizations in developing the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) for Double A Paper-Tree inventory tracking. “This new technology will help improve our ability to track the origin of our trees, thus ensuring our commitment to sustainable and legal sourcing of raw materials, and no trees from natural forest are logged or used in Double A production,” said Mr. Leetavorn. Double A will begin using UAV in the last quarter of 2016.
